There will be a book of condolences for the fans to sign - before and after the game in the Overtime area, and all next week in the Adler City Store (Wasserturm).

To honor Robert Dietrich and his teammates, the Fan Project has organized 2000 snap light sticks in blue and red, which can be picked up free of charge before the game.

Adlers win 4-2. However Ingolstadt seemed to have control most of the time, the game was played mainly in front of our net.

The first period started pretty much where the third period ended on Friday with Ingolstadt as the dominate team.

Good:

+ The moment of silence and the memorial section for Robert

+ The team never gave up and fought back from two down

+ The young players got a lot of ice time and played well

+ You can see they are trying to play as a team

+ Ian Gordon’s reaction to the fan songs (face it without Frankfurt we need Gordon and he needs us, it keeps the memory of the Derby alive for him and us.)

Bad:

- The first period I don’t think we picked up one rebound. I think all of our shots were one timers and then quick back to defense

- The Adler seem to be taking too long to set up and are keeping the puck in the defensive zone too long, giving the opposing team time to trap us in our own zone.

- Taking dumb penalties
1. No reason to take a 5 minute major while we are on the power play. The Ingolstadt player never did return to the ice and they have to take him to the doctor today
2. Reul needs to quit trying to be the “bad boy” and concentrate more on the basics of hockey again. I have no problem with fighting in Hockey but he is mixing up in things he has no business being involved in, plus the two fights I have seen he continues to hit the other player while they are laying on the ice. When a player is on the ice the fight is over PERIOD!! He might want to read the book “The Code” the unwritten rules of fighting in the NHL. If he keeps this up I would not be surprised to see him getting match penalty after match penalty (deservingly so).

strongly agree to the words regarding Denis Reul.

Nevertheless it's good to have a "bad boy" in the team...and the increase is to have a "bad boy" which can play hockey too...Ingolstadt has somebody like that with Jeremy Reich.....

.....and we used to have such a kind of player with Mike Stevens a long, long, long time ago

i was surprised that they were able to turn the game around. I am not sure that would have happened last season.

I totally agree with the comments about Denis. Sometimes it seems like he is thinking " i could play the puck or check.... aahh lets check. " Play the puck and check when necessary.

So far i like the team, even though i do not have an opinion good or bad about some of our new players. But that will come.
Respect for Gordon, actutally i think it would be worse for him if we ignored him (but that would of course also be his fault LOL)....

I dont think its good to build a referee team Willi / Ulpi thats kind of "the blind leading the blind"

I enjoyed the game, although the first period it looked like the Adler didn't want to be on the ice. Denis needs to learn how to fight, if he is going to be the 'bad boy' of the team. He might be big, but he doesn't fight well. I too, am impressed by a few of the new players, but will wait until more into the season to make a decision as to good or not so good.
Looking forward to Sunday's game and the start of the regualr season.
